Located on the northern Plaza, Be Kind to Bugs boasts a three-dimensional vibrant desert landscape and was created in partnership with local artist Michael Dodson and curator Patrick Duffy. The spirited piece features over 50 unique colors all resembling the natural beauty of Nevada and was painted entirely by freehand by the artist in 15 days.
Created in partnership with local artist Tanya “Miscre8” Watler and curator Patrick Duffy, Colors that speak to a United City, more commonly known as, The Future is Colorful Stairs is a rainbow-inspired painted installation featuring 73 unique colors as a tribute to an outlook of inclusion and hope. This one-of-a-kind artistic experience is located on the south end of the outdoor Plaza and took the artist nearly 72 hours to complete.
Designed by San Francisco Bay Area artist Katy Boynton, Heartfullness is a 12x15 foot steel replica of a heart that has been repeatedly broken and pieced back together. This impactful piece debuted at FSLV in dedication to the victims of the Route 91 Harvest music festival tragedy and has even appeared at several art and music festivals, such as Burning Man, Life Is Beautiful, Bottle Rock Napa, and many more.
The "Time to Dream Mural" is a large, 28 ft by 37 ft artwork that combines vivid colors, surreal imagery, and augmented reality to captivate viewers. Featuring a colorful arch as a gateway to imagination, the mural encourages exploration and inspiration. A mesmerizing, colorful rain and a central chrome sphere draw viewers in, while augmented reality adds an engaging, dynamic layer to the experience.
